Welcome fellow thinkers and pioneers of change! We are the Danrin Union! Created by several ambitious minds to cultivate new ideas and a different route towards expressing ourselves. We believe in :-

Embracing the uncertainty. We know how change can be tough to adapt to and how larger problems during these trying times contribute to an endless blackhole of chaos. The only thing we can do is to unweave these knotted masses and create something beautiful and hopeful,

Honouring our pasts. After all, we're all molecules of a larger thread of time. We are a cross between brave pirates and quartermasters, marveling citizens, poets, artisans, goldsmiths, potters, craftworkers, rulers, kingmakers and philosophers. It is tough to focus on an exact point in history since everything is equally worthy.

Introducing new principles and promoting them through narration, poetry, theatre and more! We believe communication is the key and the more we reach out to our peoples, the more effective our contributions would be.

The Danrin Union is named after The Danrin School, founded by poet Nishiyama Soin, aimed to divert humankind thoughts towards the abstract meaning of freedom, simplicity, happiness, humor and language, avoiding anything remotely textbook. We aim to cultivate such principles within our community.

- Discuss ideas and thought provoking topics.

- Promote visions for our utopian world.

- Unwind and return back to the present, incorporating the past into the present and build a better future for our generation, through powerful storytelling.

- And geek out on anything! This is a place with several niches! Whether you're a history nerd or a sci-fi maniac, we've got something special for everyone to interact.

[Positions]

- The Quartermasters : The very founders of this Union. Without their support, the Union wouldn't have had a room to thrive in. Just like how the Quartermaster aboard a pirate ship manages the economy and supervises the vicinity, our Quartermasters are the very lawmakers of the community.

- The Citoyen/Citoyenne : A nod to the terminology used in the French Revolution, the Citoyen and Citoyenne are our administrators. Just like how the people are the very foundation of a functioning democracy, our administrators ensure that there's a smooth flow and the workings are transparent and credible. They're our judicial system.

- The Pythagoreans : Just like the name suggests, the Pythagoreans are critical thinkers, like mathematicians. They are our reviewers and our thinkers, who look around for books, observe what the author proclaims and dissects their ideas and thought processes. They act as our advisors.

- The Patrons : Our promoters! The people who report on the inner workings of the society and come up with stories to narrate. They're the bond between our people and our government. They're our esteemed media outlets, who never hesitate to speak out loud.

- The Scriptors : Our members, of course! A society needs a working body of people and they're there to remind us that their voices matter the most. They have priviledges such as knowing the community inside and out and being a part of every activity we shall host in the near future.
