Facing the lonely choice...

'Campfire Conversations' are a collection of short stories retelling classic Bible stories from the old and new testaments. They follow two points of view: the POV of our story tellers, Martha and Lucius, and the POV of the people in the Bible accounts. These POVs are separated by the * symbol. 'The Moabitish Damsel' tells the story of Ruth, a young widow who moved to Bethlehem-Judah with her mother in law and found a life there better than she ever expected. Ruth is the only woman in the Bible to be called 'virtuous', and is a testament to what can happen when you have faith, work hard, and never doubt God's immense, immeasurable love for you.

When Leonardo's father is offered a job as an accountant in Catalonia, the family is, for the most part, thrilled: new opportunities, neighbors, and a great landscape to get used to. Léo cannot, however, seem to still his heart, drowning in a sense of distance from everything he grew used to. When Matheus's father is once again accused of domestic violence, all the Catalan lad longs for is change.

This is based on the story of Mary (Miryam) from the Gospel of Luke, and from other Gospels. This is her life, and the life of Jesus (Yeshua) from her perspective. This is my first story and I decided to let the story do the talking. OK that sounds tacky but I really don't know what to do with this story. I know what I want this story to be apart but I'm still trying to come up with surprises. You'll love it... There are bits of events that aren't mentioned in Scripture, though I do my best to stay true to the real story, only adding touches of romance and thrill. Forgive them father, for they know not what they do" _ A cry of anguish "I was in my father's house, listening to the teachers" _Words of faith "Our father, who art in heaven, halloweth be thy name" _ Words of prayer "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit" _ Words of faith "Take this all of you and eat of it. For this is my body" _ Words of salvation ***************************************** Staring up at the sky, so dark with mysteries, yet so full of life. Drops of rain splattered against her skin, seeping into the depths of her soul. The sound of the roaring thunder, did no justice in making her slip from whatever reverie she was in, the heaviness in her chest felt like a ton of bricks. The misery and anguish she felt was in immerse contradiction to the sight of the lovely lilies and marigolds around her which held immerse life and beauty. The beauty of the clearing,which usually left her fascinated and speechless did not seem as beautiful and lovely as it once had. No it couldn't have, not anymore. Letting out a cry of anguish, she collapsed to the fertile soil, gripping her most definite loveliest gown, she let out a tear of great sorrow, and soon there was another tear, and then another, up until she could feels the sobs racking through her chest. Screeching at the top of her lungs, she could only think of one thing. He was dead, her brother was dead, Jesus was dead Christ was gone
