Ryan Evans is also a 18 year old highschool student going to East High School. He's a theater kid and has a twin sister as well name Sharpay. Ryan is best friends with Liz who also protects him from the homophobic people in East High especially Troy. Ryan is openly gay and he's not afraid to flaunt it but does hate himself because of other people. Ryan is also in love with Chad and Troy knows it and bullies him because of that. This is a Chyan AU, it follows the majority of the actual plot of the HSM series but something's are mixed around, this takes place somewhere between the first and second movies Ryan Evans is one of the only openly gay guys at East High, singling him out greatly in most things. But when the Wild Cats start to come together to put on a spring play for the school (thanks to Star basket ball player Troy Bolton and math genius Gabriella Montez's budding romance), Ryan finds himself opening up to his fellow Wild Cats, and in turn falling for a certain curly-haired basketball player.

During the events of High School Musical 2, Chad Danforth thought he had summer all figured out. Bag a job, hang with the guys, and keep things simple the chaos of until senior year. But when he's assigned to the golf cart crew at Lava Springs Country Club and forced to work under non other than Ryan Evans - all pastel attire, sarcasm, and too many jazz squares - things get complicated fast. Ryan's not the guy Chad expected. And Chads definitely not the guy Ryan thought would catch his attention. Between multiple late-night shifts, dance offs, and swapped jerseys, a friendship starts to form. Then... something more. Chad had always been one to stick to the status quo, but what happens when the two boys start writing their own routine? Graduation is coming up for the wildcats along with their senior prom. And for East High's newest couple both events can either determine their future together or be their ultimate divider.

Ryan on the other starts to realise that Sharpay puts him down to keep herself up, he starts to realise that he has more to offer than just being, "Sharpay's twin brother" and decides that maybe doing a show of his own, with Chad right by his side is something he wants to do. Something he will do. Together Ryan and Chad become stronger through realising their worth and what they have to offer, no longer allowing others to put them down.
