Dear gentle reader, It has come to this authors attention that Miss Eloise Bridgerton, already once signed by scandal, has not entirely abandoned her appetite for the improper. While the young lady dutifully attends balls and endures the parade of eligible gentlemen, one cannot help but observe that her attention wanders... not towards a titled suitor, but elsewhere. After all, rebellion is most intoxicating when it occurs beneath one's very own roof. There are lines in society that must not be crossed, but if Miss Bridgerton has proven anything, it is that she has never been particularly fond of being told what she may not do. And this author wonders... What happens when the greatest impropriety is not being discovered...but being desired?

So fa la land is a dramatised account of a life of poverty for an early twentieth century Scottish mining household through one daughter's eyes using flashbacks from the sixties. Before you start to read this book I would like to emphasise that all of the stories are true. I have, of course, had to invent dialogue to match the situations, but much of that is from conversations and recordings. I have filled in gaps where the descriptions of the places and people are unclear, but otherwise the stories all happened, whether it be a ruler smashing into the children's knuckles; Robbie's shoes being open to the weather; my father investigating a lost ashtray; and the extremely rare piece of steak served to my uncle. The rare aspect was nothing to do with how it was served, by the way. The Robertsons once lived at 11 Middle Street, Cuthill near Prestonpans, Scotland. My mother, a seventh child of a seventh child, was Williamina Whyte Robertson, better known as Minnie. The family were in a very poor state and comprised a mining family of eleven children. Some of the stories might make painful reading. There will also be stories about my father George Harmsworth who came from Boxmoor near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. George Harmsworth and Minnie Robertson married on January 8th 1934, seven months before the birth of their first daughter Rose and thereby lies another tale. Please let me know about typos, grammar and spelling blunders. Family ... let me know if I have said something which you believe is not accurate. (C) 2016/7 Tony Harmsworth - All Rights Reserved. Tom was perfect. He was the lone brilliant star shining in the night sky, always just out of Merope's reach. On the rare times he had seen her, he had an expression on his face that Merope knew was a mixture of repulsion and pity. To Tom, she was simply the old tramp’s daughter. The noble house of Salazar Slytherin and her being pureblood would mean nothing to him...

[Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji ; OC ; yaoi?] *** I am but a simple country farmlad, heading to London to make a better life for myself-- Fine, I'll cut the crap and come out with it. I'm a gutter rat that lives off the handouts and trash of the city goers. I've never been to the country before, having been born and raised in London's slums, but I think it'd be nice to go one day. I live with just my little sister Marcie, who's eight. My name is Quinn. Our real surname, we don't know, so we call ourselves the Kerrs (because it sounds like kerosene, a little). After about nineteen years of sneaking around, I have mastered the act of never getting caught doing anything illegal. Just put on a posh accent, use polite speech, and you can get away with posing as a noble child sneaking out in peasant clothes. It's easy; the Yard is so bad at their jobs. But alas, one day, unforeseen circumstances find me working as a footman at Phantomhive manor. And from there, well, things get messy.
