June 2, 1996, Guangzhou, China. I sat in my box hoping that rain will come soon. The sun was scorching and I was sweating profusely. Next to me was a sewer, and it smelled horrible. The smell of dead fish, dirty clothes, rotting food, and rat feces that made me want to puke up my ramen noodles diner. I crossed my fingers singing a rain song that I made up. After I finished my lovely song, I look to the East and see dark clouds rolling my way. I became very excited, shouting out rain, rain, rain! Slowly it started to sprinkle. After a while, it turned into heavy rain drops. I wish I sung about light rain instead of a bucket being thrown on me. My black, knotted hair fell in my face. I pushed it all back revealing my huge forehead. Unfortunately I inherited a bad trait. All I had with me was my pink, Mickey blanket and Piao, my panda stuffed animal's name. I covered Piao with my blanket to protect him from the rain. It didn't help too much. I was sitting in a wet, tattered, tall cardboard box for who knows how long. How did I get here? Where am I? Where's my parents?
