The apocalypse is brutal with the undead roaming around and the unpredictable survivors that you may stumble by. Every decision must be led with a heavy heart.

An old scientist named Professor Quartz sat down in his room with his open journal one lazy afternoon. Looking at the shining sun that was starting to get lower, such sight reminiscent to his past. His hands wrote swiftly on the papers, as his mind made the journey back to Buck's Row, Whitechapel and re living the life of a young boy with struggles on his back. He went further and further to all the discoveries of unique, other worldly like creatures. The journeys across the world to find and learn the seemingly endless oddities. And finally going back to the present.

This is a collection of my poems that I wrote, based on the harsh reality called Life. Some of these are real-life experiences from me, so don't judge x If you want another genre of poems, let me know :) I've been through these situations, like many other people out there, so you don't have to feel alone, because you're not :) Read, comment, vote and enjoy :D

A poem about expectations.

It's only about the dark truth of the world that everyone hides. They don't want you to know. The pain and the suffering are endless. SO WAKE UP TO REALITY.

Love with a wounded soul from my perspective.

She's unaware of what or who she is. She's unaware of what this world sees her like. She's unaware that the people she looks out for don't look out for her with the same love. Yes they do look out, but with greed.

Thoughts and feelings on life when everyone says you haven't been in the "real world" yet.

Maddie moves into a new area, Not knowing the truths behind every smile. She gets caught in fights between her backstabbing friends. Will she be able to survive in the place known as home but also hell?

Why follow the herd when you can fly ahead with your own wings of dreams and hopes. Why do you need to follow the same path always when you can create your own to reach.... The Extremes

The first word that people always choose to describe black women is "strong" which is true. However, we're not always strong. We're often expected to keep a smile on our face even when we're so busy struggling with carrying the world on our shoulders. Literally. We're not expected to have any kind of reactions. Or feelings. But we can only play the "superwoman" role for so long. Eventually we'll breakdown. Due to so many things that are already breaking us down.

The world we live in isn't perfect. At school. Claire Newman is known as a loser, a nerd, a joke. There isn't a day that goes by where someone doesn't insult her, physically or verbally. And she never fights back. But why? "Go ahead," I whisper not meeting his eyes, "I can't feel it anymore." I know that he's standing there, with that stupid smirk on his face. Trying to think of an insult. But I don't care. I stopped caring a long time ago. But when I look up, he's not smirking. He's right in front of me staring at me with so many emotions flickering through his eyes. Like a television screen. "What happened to you?" he asks softly. "Leave me alone." I snap. Because I can't tell him. "Let me help you." "I can't."

This poem is more about fighting with my own self. Being angry with myself and eventually fighting for myself against all the questions and fingers raised by society and the world.
