Since wars by the end of the second emperor became almost rarity due to succes of conquests and "Pax Arloniana", hunting and tourneys became gathering places for nobility to practice martial skills. The great hunt was an unofficial crowning of the young emperor Valkemais since it gathered more nobles for the event than the actual crowning itself.
