Fifteen years ago Lorrie Richmond arrived in Eden Alabama in the arms of her dad Bo. No one knew where she came from or who her mother is. But when she sneaks out with her best friend to see a movie she is attacked by something inhuman, dragging her into a world of faeries, giants, and floating cities.

Unione dei Tre Imperi, Theacor: anno 524 dopo il Grande Gelo. Nel mondo di Saga, nonostante la guerra per l'uguaglianza si sia conclusa ormai decenni or sono, non sono poche le razzie nei confronti delle Creature dotate di essenza magica: interi villaggi aggrediti senza alcun preavviso, svuotati dei loro stessi abitanti; città fantasma che ora costellano l'Unione come le luci celestiali della volta notturna. Nonostante si sospettino ragioni politiche imperiali, nessuno conosce i reali motivi dietro tanta spietatezza, né esiste alcuno che sappia che fine fanno le Creature una volta strappate ai loro letti con tanta urgenza. La crudeltà gratuita che ha portato quasi all'estinzione di intere razze ha raggiunto anche la Grande Casa, dove i fratelli Altwidus non hanno conosciuto altro che amore e gioia tra le braccia della loro numerosissima e coloratissima famiglia. A causa di questo terribile evento, una nuova tonalità entra a far parte del dizionario dei due folletti: il rosso sangue. Per i due orfani inizia così un inaspettato e totalmente sgradito viaggio con l'obiettivo non solo di salvare quel che resta della loro famiglia, ma anche di salvaguardare la restante magia di Saga. (Essendo guidati soprattutto da un forte spirito vendicativo, naturalmente)

The story revolves around an eighteen year-old girl who quits attending school because she discovered she isn't one normal human after all. Then all the while she found herself at an academy and yet to study again. But things aren't the same because the said academy is for extraordinary humans and things are about to change way more complicated...
