Charline Dubois is an eight year old French orphaned girl who resides at the Pennsylvania gazette in colonial Philadelphia, along side her best friend Henri LeFevbre. She has a love for reading and writing and has a never ending thirst for knowledge.
But Charline lived in a time of excitement and the fight for liberty; the American revolution. Through her own eyes she witnessed the course of the war and learns about the point of view from others about the revolution along her two journalist friends, James Hiller and Sarah Phillips. From that Charline knows the true meaning of liberty and a strong sense of unity for a future country.
But unknown to Charline, Henri has feelings for her, but decided to keep it a secret in fear that Charline wouldn't feel the same way about him.
Through out the journey of the American revolution, and often throughout danger, will Charline see the victory for the American colonies? Will she finally realize Henri's feelings for her and love him back? Read to find out.
(P.S., I don't own the characters for liberty kids, just my OC Charline Dubois.)
