This a Lucy POV basically. Volt wants to go to New York. Commander Chen agreed since they had no missions or enemies to deal with, after they defeated Zenos. But he made Ray go with them to socialize with the team more. The team wanted to go in human form because if Ray's gonna be with them he will only be in his miniforce form plus their famous so he wouldn't like the attention.

After the events of Miniforce: Super Dino Power, the team takes a well deserved break from the chaos of transforming monsters as winter rolls around. Suddenly, in the first week of December, Blue City is covered in a blanket of soft, glittering snow. And ice. Lots of snow and ice. And it sure is getting colder here. That certainly wasn't normal... was it? Before long, the entire peninsula is facing fearsome blizzards and endless tundras. Under the guidance of their new allies, the Academy's own Professor Lightfoot, and a mysterious, haunting voice, the Miniforce prepare to unravel this chilling puzzle and stop whoever is behind it.
