I had started this project some time ago while I was Christian, and it was during a phase when I was discerning between Roman Catholicism and Orthodoxy. The point of the project was to delve into the history of the Church to figure out if the claims of Rome to the Papacy were historically accurate and in line with what the Church taught historically. I am a former Catholic, who was Catholic for two years.

BOOK 1 - Rusticus' Journey In 395 AD, a young librarian named Rusticus discovers a plot by Theophilus, the powerful Archbishop of Alexandria, to alter sacred Christian texts to support his own theological and political agenda. Faced with an impossible choice, Rusticus must decide whether to stand by and watch as history is rewritten, or risk everything to preserve the original documents. When Theophilus threatens to destroy the original manuscripts of the New Testament, Rusticus and his friend Marcus embark on a dangerous mission to steal and protect them. But their daring heist sets off a chain of events that will force Rusticus to flee for his life, leading him on an epic journey from Alexandria to Constantinople and beyond. Along the way, he forms an unlikely alliance with the fierce and independent Dalilah, who challenges everything he thought he knew about faith, truth, and love. Together, they must navigate political intrigue, religious persecution, and their growing feelings for each other while staying one step ahead of Theophilus's relentless pursuit. As they delve deeper into the ancient texts they're protecting, they uncover troubling discrepancies between the original writings and the doctrine being enforced by the Empire. Their search for truth will bring them face to face with John Chrysostom, one of history's most beloved and controversial church fathers, whose own struggles with orthodoxy mirror their own. A gripping tale of romance, faith, and courage, this historical fiction novel explores the price of truth in a world where power corrupts and questioning doctrine means risking everything. Based on real historical events and figures, it offers a fascinating glimpse into a pivotal moment in Christian history when the quest for orthodoxy threatened to override the very teachings it sought to preserve.

Letters of Fr. Seraphim Rose 1960-1982 A large collection of previously unpublished letters of Fr Seraphim Rose. Fr Seraphim's letters are not necessarily a reflection of his personal views only, but a reflection of the spirit shared by both Fr Herman and Fr Seraphim of the Platina Monastery. In many of the letters Fr Seraphim makes it clear that he speaks not in his name only, but in the name of both himself and Fr Herman. It is because of Fr Seraphim's eloquent style and his English language abilities that naturally put him in the position of conducting most of the Monastery's correspondence.
