Stonegate's fair city was built on the ruins of a town of one of the ancients. It was not called Stonegate, then, for in those days there was no need for stone walls or for gates. I've heard it said, though I can scarcely believe it, that in those days people walked to and fro unhindered. The old name had something to do with a Fort, though we can't figure out why, since there didn't seem to be a fort here but there was a building called "a university," a guild of learning of some sort. Well, sadly that time is long gone, and Stonegate's walls have long kept decent people in and the riffraff out. People here have gotten comfortable, for we've long felt safe and secure. That is, until now...

This is not a happy story. Please, don't read it if you're looking to be entertained. I took the original abstract piece that was posted here and turned it into a fully fleshed out essay for a college class; I made my classmates weep. I'm updating the post in the hopes that the additional details, anecdotes, and reflections could help someone who needs to know they are not alone.

This year, one of our assignments in English class was to write a "letter" to an abstract concept. It could be anything from hope, to love, to fear, to war, to conflict. I decided to choose religion as my concept, because it is a complicated topic for me, but it is also something I have a great interest in. In this project, I explore my positive and negative feelings and experiences with religion in a letter form. This project would not exist without my amazing Language Arts teachers, who have supported me unconditionally throughout my journey as a writer. I am forever grateful for their compassion, guidance, and understanding. I would not be where I am today without them. This is an unedited repost of my original assignment. What does a father get his blind son for his birthday? What if that son doesn't have long to live? Yea, a whole town may say they "care" and send him teddy bears and flowers. But they don't get it. Reflections on Mother's Day from a mother's perspective.

As the world begins to fall apart, a man recollects on why he could never find happiness. However, he is not alone, and he wouldn't be constantly reminded of this if his cyborg hadn't brought home a strange girl one day. Now they are the jury that will determine the fate of those that were guided to their home to confess their crimes. Some had committed the most horrific acts known to man, while others simply made one mistake that ruined their lives. Will they be given salvation, or death by execution? before you read this you should probably know that the first chapter is marked as restricted but all the other chapters are PG-13. However, Jennifer has to forget the lies and secrets in her past, but why is she lying when they ask her, how did she get that wolf design tattoo. What is the boy, that gave her directions hiding. When will she ever now the truth.
