Here I post my short stories I get from writing prompts in my "Write The Story" Piccadilly journal. I am given a short sentence prompt and then a series of words I must use in the story. I generally take about thirty minutes writing the flash fiction stories. Enjoy!

Rush hour in the London Underground should be annoying but here is a short story based on true events that shows that by means of simple gestures, changes can and will be achieved.

Claire Brooks is twenty-four and working as a columnist in a major newspaper. Claire always thought that romance best to be left to books. But when she is invited to go to London along with a team of other employees from the newspapper, she will soon discover that when it comes to romance it's no fairytale.

Three years have passed. I'm still trapped, imprisoned in a city which is slowly crumbling around my eyes. My family - if there's anything left of it - haven't seen or heard of me since its members fled. Every day of my life, if I can even bring myself to call it that anymore, I witness the few souls who still surround me dropping to the ground in a lake of pure crimson, dead, waiting for whatever remains of their lives to drain into the sewers. I wanted to fight at first. This was my city, my parents' city, the city of a thousand glorious parties and a million dreams, the city of lovers, the city I loved. I didn't want to see it crumble into its own ashes. Three long years ago, I would have done anything to stop that happening. Three years on, and I'm not so sure...

From Barnes and Noble, I bought this book called '500 Writing Prompts,' by Piccadilly. It's a pretty self-explanatory book. Anyway, I figured it would be fun to post my responses to each of the prompts on here! I encourage you all to conjure up your own responses, too. Enjoy:)
