The libretto for a 2-act Broadway-style musical about a revolution that plays out on a fictional Latin American coffee plantation. And Diego, the revolutionary leader, is in love with the Dictator's daughter... Love, politics, violence, and consequences. Inspired by my time and travels in Nicaragua, in the lingering aftermath of the Sandinista revolution. Unlike some of my other works of theatre, this one was never staged or published - the large cast, ambitious staging, and musical accompaniment all proved beyond my means at the time. A blind date can't go too bad... right? A young man eagerly awaits for his blind date, only when they arrive, its not what he expects. This is a short scene I wrote for a class assignment! I don't know if there are a lot of scripts here on Wattpad, but I just wanted to share this anyway lol. I hope to share some more scrips I have been working on here as well. This is heavily inspired and based on "Check Please!" by Jonathan Rand. This is the play we preformed in class and this assignment was to write another possible scene for this play. As the announcement of the award is made, legal allegations threaten to undermine Jack’s success in every facet of his life. Desperate to hold together his career, marriage, and family, Jack attempts to halt the unraveling of the reputation he has worked so hard to build by taking on one last patient. The premiere of Sing After Storms was be staged in June 2014 at New York City’s Thespis Theater Festival. Results of the festival will be available in September 2014. Back in 2007 to 2009, I studied at the National Academy of Writing, where we welcomed a number of patrons who gave masterclasses in their particular fields, from novel writing, to agenting, to selfpublishing, even theatre and script writing. While it may, at times, be of its time, these documents of those masterclasses still have wonderful nuggets that you may find useful.
