Set in a modern-day monarchy, Melody is the daughter of the Queen. However, she is not first in line for the throne. Without warning, somebody close to her unexpectedly dies. I've only done a bit of the story, so please comment what you think should happen next. Thanks :)

In which Ariel is more connected to the sea than she thinks...

And how did she become the woman, a pirate captain had to warn a prince about? Being born pre-mature, young Vanessa suffers from sudden and abrupt granule seizures. After the death of her father, Vanessa feels its time to take her life into her own hands. Along with a questionable, yet dreamy man, named Derek. Vanessa soon comes to realize her true origins. Follow as she unfolds the mystery of her family's troubled past, all the while forging her own path.

What if Athena didn't die when Ariel was a baby? What if there was a different tragedy that spawned the hatred of humans? What if Ariel met Eric when she was younger? (Babes, I promise its better than it sounds)
