Introduction In March 2013, following the completion of From Within The Shadow, I reached the point of feeling and being like I'd found my way out from within the shadow. With each step it felt like I was opening like a flower: Blossoming, growing stronger, taller, daily. Pushing outwards, the seeds, to attract the honey bee, like a chest being puffed out. Petals like eyes, seeing the world, feeling the wind, the sun, the rain. Dancing, strutting, feeling a part of the world, stretching outwards to reach my full potential. Out From Within the Shadow I now stand out from within the shadow tall, upright and in full glow behind me now is where it is only to visit as I reminisce. Sweeter memories can now be found as all the tangles have been unwound and freedom is now the path for me and with my new eyes the world I see. What if a simple cup of tea could become a part of almost every moment of your life? Raj and His Cup of Tea is a light-hearted and relatable poem about Raj, a man whose life seems to revolve around tea. Whether he is happy, sad, bored, working, or simply awake-there always seems to be a cup of tea nearby. Through a little humour and everyday moments, this poem explores how something as simple as tea can become a ritual, a comfort, and even a companion. Sometimes, we don't need a big reason to make a cup of tea. Sometimes, we just need tea. If you are someone who can never say no to a cup of tea, you might see a little bit of yourself in Raj. ☕❤️ Author's Note I'm Lavanya Y. Rao, and this poem actually came to me during a very ordinary moment. Today, while I was sitting idly and drinking a cup of tea, I suddenly started thinking about how addicted I am to tea. That little thought made me wonder-maybe there are so many other people who are just like me! People who have tea when they are happy, stressed, bored, tired, or sometimes simply because they feel like having it. And that's how Raj and his endless cups of tea came to life. ☕😄 I hope this poem brings a little smile to your face and makes you think of your own relationship with tea. Please do vote for the poem and leave your comments. I would love to know-are you a tea lover like Raj and me? ❤️☕
