"In a lot of ways, Snotlout is very much Spitelout's son," said Freda. Torben did not need to see her face to hear in her voice that she wanted to say more. "One can hardly help but notice," he said when she didn't immediately continue. "But," she added hesitantly. "In more subtle and quiet ways he is much more my son." Torben turned his face toward the sun, the heat of it warming his skin though his world remained dark. "Even without my sight I could see that. Why else do you think I would encourage and allow his frequent visits here." ---- He was brash, cocky, and way too self-confident for it to be real but he had gotten her out of the tree. She was older than him, taller than him, and had an annoying habit of seeing through his bluffs but she had stitched him up. What happens when Sigyn and Snotlout strike up an unusual friendship? And what happens when Snotlout goes away to The Edge with the other Dragon Riders and she stays behind? Will their friendship remain intact, fade away, or possibly change into something neither was expecting? See if I can make you a Snotlout fan by the end. Story told from both Sigyn and Snotlout's POV.

Spencer and I have been neighbors for years, it wasn't until recently we've actually acknowledged that fact. We've been meeting in my car every Saturday at midnight just to vent to each other. Living in a small town has its own constant pressure because everyone knows your business.

It's a story written between the lines. Here's what might have been going on behind the scenes of the canon. The secret that Hermione had been keeping since her first day at Hogwarts. It's a story about friendship, mental health issues, child abuse and breaking down stereotypes. 🔹I am not a native English speaker and am writing without a beta reader.

There is always more than one side to a story, and in Draco Malfoy's case, one side changes everything. Draco and Hermione form a bond before their first year at Hogwarts that carries on through their passing years. There are two things it has always been: love and secret. While everyone believes these two are opposites in every way - blood, houses, side of the war - they share so much in common. They both know the other. They are intelligent, stubborn, thoughtful, feisty, lonely, and they both depend on each other in a way that goes deeper than explanation. *** Hermione was lounging in an armchair in the back of the library, while Draco sat on the floor against it. Tucked away from the world - that was their favourite spot. Through the corner of his eyes he could see a sliver of her skin where her shirt had ridden up as she stretched. Her hair covered her face when she reached down to grab a textbook from her bag on the floor. Draco didn't feel like doing much anything, so he just stayed still, a finger holding his place in the closed book on his lap and legs stretched out before him. "Hermione?" It was her turn to hum. He didn't have anything to say so he didn't. Just listened to her breathing. After she had completed the first section she looked up, asking him what he said. "Oh, nothing. Just wanted to hear you, or say your name or something." His body shifted to lean sideways against the chair, facing her as she failed to hide her smile and went back to revising. He would never get tired of looking at her.

What a douche, I thought. But what had I expected to find in a abandoned house? Obviously Prince Charming wasn't nr 1 on the list. And while I am on the subject I realised something. "Why haven't I heard any footsteps since entering this room?" Anastasia has always lived an ordinary life for a sorcerer. Well except for the fact that she is an orphan and lives with her teacher. So what she didn't really get along with the other kids back when she was younger? So what she has struggles learning the easiest of spells? But when she meets a strange boy during a hat-saving-mission, she suddenly finds herself with a new (very secret) friend. And the great thing about her new friend is the fact that he can teach her magic. Real magic. And as the ABHRF (Annual Ball in Honor of the Royal Family) draws near she realises she is stuck in a web of lies. And the biggest lie is probably Anastasia herself. R 12.

Polar opposites. One is your typical brain. A nerd, if you'd like. The other is your average popular charismatic guy. Saying they live different lives is an understatement, but they both get up at 5 am each day. Why? To do different things. But if they're also both escaping their lives, how different are they really? Hi there! I'm 13 and this is my first time writing so please be nice! If you have any tips that would be super helpful :) This book switches perspectives between 2 characters and is based in nyc. It takes place during high school and is a fast paced romance. It will also be in shorter chapters. <3 hope you enjoy it!

Jane Anderson is a sweet but strong 16-year-old girl who's always been the center of attention at Rosewood Boarding School. Outgoing, confident, and full of life, she seems to have it all figured out-until the mysterious Chase Willson shows up. Chase is the opposite of Jane in every way: introverted, quiet, and always wearing a black mask that hides his face. He only talks to Jane and seems content with his books and solitude. But behind his calm, strange demeanor, there's something about him that pulls Jane in-something she can't quite explain. As the two are forced to share a room, they grow closer in unexpected ways. Chase flirts with Jane in his subtle, teasing manner, while Jane struggles to understand the feelings building inside her. Neither of them are willing to admit their growing attraction, but as time passes, their bond deepens. Will they ever be able to reveal their true feelings for each other, or will the walls they've built keep them apart?
