(Highschool) Shi qingxuan, a transfer student from overseas visits his old friends. As he meets new students on the way, hexuan,his lover and pal starts to get jealous. He later dies however, from a rare disease, the (Hanahaki Disease (花吐き病 (Japanese); 하나하키병 (Korean); 花吐病 (Chinese)) is a fictional disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. It ends when the beloved returns their feelings (romantic love only; strong friendship is not enough), or when the victim dies. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear.) This novel's chapter consists of how many days he is left to live with.

Xie Lian meets Hua Cheng, who sticks around for the weekend, doing shopping, laundry and house cleaning. @taoistpriestpupper invites Xie Lian to a Rap Battle, The Half-Moon Pass. Feng Xin and Mu Qing show up too. There's a fight, and hell breaks loose about past disputes.

Xie Lian and Hua Cheng meet again, and make some plans together, but Xie Lian gets enlisted to help Shi Qingxuan with an internet troll, The Reverend of Empty Words. They go to Amsterdam for a fun weekend, but end up in a bad trip; Hua Cheng makes Xie Lian's heart race!

Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan go for a uni assignment at Ghost City, a pop-up market organised by Hua Cheng. They take a colleague, Lang Qianqiu, who stirs trouble following a rumour of gang clashes; painful memories arise, and Xie Lian gets in trouble.

Spoilers for the book!! Broken bones are fixed with love, and time heals all wounds. Shi Qingxuan was heavily injured in his fall from heaven, and the consequences were making themselves known. On his deathbed, there was only one person he wanted to see, and by some miracle of the world... that wish was granted. He Xuan had been observing Shi Qingxuan, wondering why the former Wind Master had such a strong effect on him. When he heard about the extent of said Wind Master's injuries, there was no way in hell he'd let that be. After all, he can't figure out why his heart beats so fast if the one making it do so is dead. It's Xie Lian's birthday, and all he ever wanted was to get his friends together in Puqi Shrine and cook for everyone, so they could all eat, drink and be merry. It's a tall order even for Hua Cheng; however, what Gege wants Gege gets!
