I wrote this for a writing class that wanted me to write a scene from a movie. I chose Angie Thomas' The Hate U Give. It was an amazing book before it was an amazing movie. This is a very rough draft, so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

16-year-old Kiara Vivian Taylor is navigating the world as a mixed-race woman in modern times. She has to choose from being black or sticking to her white friends. What happens when her rich white friends, Sara, dad kills an unarmed black man. Who will she defend? Will, she chose a side? Or will she unfriend Sara because of her dad's mistake? Will she have a choice when she has to move in with the family?

There is going to be two sisters one younger one older. They were adopted by Logan Paul and His girlfriend Lydia, I know in real life they aren't dating but just go with it. The first few chapters are going to be mostly getting to know the characters but, when you get to know them. You best believe there is going to be as such drama as I can make.

But what starr does or does not say can could destroy her community it could also endanger her life. Angie Thomas's searing doubt about an ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances addresses issues of racism and police violence with intelligence,heart and unflinching honesty

Makaia Jones has been locked up for the past 3 years. On December 1rst, she finally gets to come home. She reconnects with her childhood best friend, Bryshere Gray, who is the star basketball player of Westport High, but things don't go as planned. The two end up getting in a fight and a HUGE secret starts to come out. Will the two be able to keep their mouths shut, or will more secrets be made?
