Zevan had been an Avium stuck in slavery on the island continent of Krilos for seven hundred years. He'd been tortured, brutalized and hardened over that time. He knew no peace, no love and found himself the leader of the other slaves, who all looked up to him. But he kept secrets, ones that could change everything if they were discovered by the wrong people.
Vera was a Priestess of Armana in Mon' Avium when her father begged her to help him. He was in poverty and debt over a failed business venture with some not so kind characters. She couldn't bring herself to deny him the help and so she went. She didn't think that she was part of the payment.
