18-year-old music lover Jenny Integra has been the subject of mockery for most of her life, but on her first week of college, she finally finds a place where she can fully belong when her friends Eleanor and Sandra let her join the music group they're a part of: the Hetalians. 
    She meets all the members, including the American self-proclaimed leader and bass guitarist Alfred Jones (Sandra's ex-boyfriend), handsome German drummer Ludwig Beilschmidt and his egotistical brother Gilbert, the slightly intimidating but kind Russian keyboard player Ivan Braginski, and Arthur Kirkland, the British lead guitarist and Sandra's current love interest. 
    This follows the adventures of the Hetalians as they go through their coming-of-age lives and the girls develop their feelings for some of the male members. But Jenny's father, who has followed them, has a dark past and wants something from her...
