Dani, a small town girl who moved to the city to pursue her career dreams at NYU, has always been reserved and desperate to succeed. However, things begin to change once she meets Wes, a man born and raised in New York who is even better at hiding his secrets and past. Although both have sworn off relationships, Wes can't seem to stay away from Dani, and she doesn't do much to keep him away. It's not until both of their trauma histories and secrets catch up to them that they realize it's too late to go back to the way things were.
