When 17-year-old Dylan Hennessy found out she was a Potential, her world was overcome by vampires and demons. She was forced to learn, and quickly, all there was to know about the mystical, the magical, and all the evil entities she never knew existed--along with how to kill them. After a magical spell boosted her from potential to full blown Vampire Slayer, the weight of saving mankind from the forces of darkness was placed on her shoulders. Only a handful of Slayers survived after the final epic battle against the First Evil and as one of them, Dylan's life suddenly took a series of turns towards a destiny she no longer had control over. She relocated to Havermill, Massachusetts, a city full of supernatural forces, and she struggles to balance a social life, new job, and her duties as a Slayer while making some surprising friends along the way. To make things more complicated, a thousand-year-old cult wants to steal her most precious attribute -- her Slayer powers. Based in the magical and supernatural world created by Joss Whedon, Dylan the Vampire Slayer follows the story of one girl's struggle to accept her destiny and find her place in a new dangerous world.
