Ashlyn Mayfield Richards is a normal girl trying to make it through the night of the huge election. Or at least she thinks that she's just a normal boring girl. Ashlyn knew that she was adopted. But that didn't mean she loved her mothers any less. If anything she only loved them more for giving her a normal life. Though one night at a party during the political campaign speeches, Ashlyn was enjoying the event with a couple of college friends. What was meant to be a good night and talks among a few girls rooting for a female president, ended up being something that no one was ready for. From that night on, Kai had his eyes on Ashlyn only wanting her for himself. Kai felt an instant connection with her, and he couldn't figure out why...that is until he does a little digging and learn the truth about Ashlyn and her background.
