Get it off your chest

Friends with someone who is homophobic is something immensity difficult to do when you cant stand people who discriminate. Maybe they just don't understand why it is wrong? Being school students you don't know how to treat the world and maybe that was his problem?

Or maybe he used his homophobic language as a shelter? To avoid allowing himself to express the feelings that laid beneath the surface for his best friend?
