Ember Price is just trying to getaway. Gabriel Stephens is carrying the weight of the world.

They met when she was just sixteen and had just started dancing for money. They couldn't have been any more different. She was from projects on the west side; him from an upper-class family. Gabriel thought about Ember almost every day for years - not knowing if he will ever see her again.

Years later when their paths cross they are now living separate lives. Dealing with separate issues. Ember lives with her now-boyfriend Grady and Gabe is married to Savannah, his long time girlfriend.
