Catina Salvatore is a Reaper, someone who works for the company of Death himself. She had always been a good Reaper, doing her job with pride and joy (as far as cutting the threads of life is enjoyable), but when she unravels a secret she wasn't supposed to know, her employer becomes her greatest enemy. By getting kicked out of the company she becomes a mortal and is now just as powerless against death as all of them. Still, Catina is determined to publish the truth and save the earth from falling apart. By her side she suddenly finds Ezra, a former colleague as support and the shadowplay begins, which might not only cause to give the handsome young man her trust, but also her heart. Yet, focus and concentration are needed, because Death Day is coming and it will be an end to all of life.
