    It started with the northern lights.
    
    In the winter of 2022 physicist Aeslir Bekke disappears from the tiny village of Ny-Alesund. Twelve years later he's found wandering naked in the snow, the veins in his arms turned strangely black. Though he hasn't aged a single day, Aeslir has definitely changed. 
    
    Deep in a cave in Borneo lies a myth, a legend...a nightmare. When humanity faces its biggest threat, can we rely on a monster to save us? Xenobiologist Maggie Viotto believes so, to save mankind she is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. 
    
    Captain Rick Tanner, grief stricken by Maggie's choice, finds it difficult not to stake earth's newest 'asset'. As his contempt for the vampire grows and their enemies close in, will he be able to resist exacting revenge? Or will temptation of another kind be humanity's downfall?
    
    Vampires, werewolves, aliens, secret orders... It's all in the blood.
