Perhaps it was because Sei only managed an hour of sleep or perhaps because his mind was in disarray, he didn't sense the void steadily circling him. Hidden out of sight and biding their time until it was the right moment to strike.

The moment before it struck, Sei turned his head finally sensing the danger.
