The sequel to Pack of Wolves One year ago, Scarlet Reithaube barely managed to escape from a camp full of werewolves that tried to devour her and the two boys she managed to escape with, leaving behind a boy she loved and a woman who had an unhealthy obsession with her. Shortly thereafter, Scarlet barely escaped a ravaged police station with her life after being forced to kill the head werewolf when he came back for her and her friends. Now, Scarlet feels as though she's finally managed to get her life back under her control; she has a part-time job in a library, has been accepted into college, set to go once the school year starts up, and she has finally come to terms with the tragic death of her mother. Of course, things never go that way. One day, only a couple of weeks before Scarlet is all set to go off for college, she's accosted by an old friend and dragged back into the horrors she faced only a year prior - except this time, it's worse. The werewolves want to make an attempt to take over the world and are ready to begin their plans, which involve ending her life for her transgressions against them. Scarlet's fear has already maxed out, but things get even worse when she meets up with people she thought she would never see again. Now tied to two different parties with two different goals, Scarlet has to make the ultimate choice - as well as the ultimate sacrifice.
