Gideon is back in trouble (what else is new) and jumping forward in time 30 years to the War of the Roses. The year is 1463. The Lancasters are on the run, and the Yorks are in power. Gideon is allied with the Lancasters but at the moment the current threat is supernatural, and hunting both houses. As usual, living people die, dying people live, Richard III is involved somehow. Fourth wall breaks galore. Found families. Everybody is probably gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history and feel the overwhelming urge to join the Richard III society, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Trigger/Content Warnings: some mild crude humor (middle school level) and some profanity. Brief mention of abusive families. Fantasy violence. Some moderate peril and frightening scenes.
