Michiko Hayashi has almost always been alone. Her parents had died when she was twelve, so she fended for herself since then. Her teammates were killed two years later when a routine mission became something more. 
    
    But now, she's reassigned to a squad after three years. Team Seven. She doesn't expect much from the trio of kids, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Uchiha, but she's wrong about them, and their sensei, Kakashi Hatake. 
    
    She would soon learn how mistaken she was, but not necessarily in a bad way.
