Childhood bestfriends Emma Woodburn and Araba Dadzie have shared a long history of laughs together and have sworn to never let anything come between them. They promise to be in eachother's lives till they're old enough to raise families and age gracefully. When they both start working as interns on a late night comedy show, Araba's relationship with her parents take a downward spiral. Her hatred for them takes a whole new level. If shooting stars were real, she'd wish her parents would vanish out of her life for good. What's worse, is that they want her and everyone else to believe they're trying to be good parents, while masking the awful people they truly are.
She believes they are coming in between her relationship with Emma and even worse, there might be something sinister at play. Simultaneously, this happens while Araba's mother begins stalking them as well, making Emma and her mother start to feel very unsafe with Araba.
