As the darkness embraced me I felt at peace for once. At peace that I could rest. My eye lids became disturbed and twitched at the bright light shining down on me. The light hugged me close as the warmth of the light shone down on my fair skin. As I turned to the side trying my best to block out the sudden burst of light my body felt the damp ground it laid on. As I slowly lifted my eye heavy eyelids the light peaked its way through my eyes. I winced as the light stung my eyes. As I lifted my body up I placed my hand over my eyes blocking the light. Where was I? I looked around, the ground I laid with was freshly cut damp grass. It smelled sweet and fresh, as I inhaled the aroma surrounding me my body began to relax. I looked to see the sun still taunting me with its bright warm beams above. I looked in the distance where the sun set right above to see a big oak tree and a figure in the distance perched up onto the tree with something in the figures hands. I lifted myself up off the damp grass that was once below me, I wiped my white dress that was filled with little pieces of cut up grass. Something attracted me to the figure it made me want to draw closer to the figure and see what, who it was.

As I walked I look down at my bare feet and the way the grass damp grass held me above the ground underneath. I felt my feet began to dampen with every step of the way. As I walked more and more I noticed along the way little daisy's tucked neatly against pieces of grass. A gentle breeze blew against my face, defining each of my features as it grazed every part. As I made my way to the oak tree I saw the oak tree more close, it was a old tree, with long branches some thin and some thicker than others. As I came closer I saw the figure, it was a young girl she had the same number of freckles  covering her face and arms as me, the same green daring eyes, the same braids that hung over her shoulders, and the same face that reflected mine. I looked in her hands to see a book, it had a light blue faded cover with mountains and a yellow beaming sun that watched the mountains and a green pasture with daisys lingering around. Just like the scenery we were in now. The girl looked up, her face mimicking mine her face soften as she gave me a soft smile. She placed the book in her lap as she patted the spot next to her. I walked over and sat with her, "Where am I?" I asked, curiosity lingering in my voice. "Home." She said turning to me, with the same voice as mine.

I looked ahead of us to see the sun setting, "What were you reading?" I asked, referring to the book with a beautiful cover yet no title. "Our story." She said, "Our?" She nodded, "What's it about?" I asked, "That's for you to decide." She said, I looked into her green eyes they looked tired and hurt. I put my arm around her shoulder as I brought her head to my shoulder. I felt her relax as her head came in contact with my shoulder, she was tired. My eyelids began to grow heavy as I held her closer to me. She and I were connected in a way, not because we had the same looks or voice but spiritually. I felt as if she was apart of me inside. That was tired and hurt and waiting for someone to lean on. The darkness pulled me close as it swallowed me whole.
