Jeon Somi is a transfer student from Canada. She was only ten when she and her mother decided to live in South Korea after her mom divorced her father. At a very young age, she learned those happy endings forever only exist in books, which is why this leads to her fascination to read stories that she wishes can also happen in real life. Meanwhile, Seo Miya is another ten-year-old girl who lives in a poor province in South Korea. Her parents aren't the richest which is why she always does her best to be contented with what she has and that her parents can give to her. As the two girls' paths collide, a promise is formed that will bind them together. But just as in the stories, promises are meant to be broken. Will they be able to mend that promise, or will they just have to deal that happy endings that only happen in books?
