"Hey, Em! Where are you?" a voice from the other line called as Miya answered the phone call. She's been driving for ten minutes and yet she still doesn't know where to go.
For someone who's been living in the city for two years and did nothing but roam around, she can't think of what place she should go. Maybe because she's also enjoying roaming around with her car, but she knows for a fact that she'd rather stay at home than go outside and deal with people who don't really give a shit about her but sometimes she thinks it's not the case.
"Out, why?" Miya simply said as she stopped when she saw the stoplight turned red.
"Wow, out. That helps me to know where you are." the guy chuckled as he repeated the girl's answer.
"What do you want, Steve? Please don't tell me you called me to talk to River. I left her in the house, she annoyed me already."
Steven chuckled as he could imagine the face of his friend at the moment.
"What did she do now, huh?"
"I don't wanna talk about it. Why did you call?"
"Did you eat already? Let's try the new sushi restaurant around my place. My treat!"
"Sushi for brunch?"
"Why not? Come on, I've been craving it. Also, we gotta talk about our plan before we go back to SK."
Miya sighed without a choice. She turned her way back to go to the guy's place.
"I'll pick you up, I'm already outside anyway."
"Cool, I'll wait outside!"
After ten more minutes of driving, Miya arrived outside Steve's unit. He saw the guy waiting outside the building wearing a dark hoodie and pants, with a baseball cap on.
"Ey bub! Finally, I've been freezing out there!" As expected Steven greeted the girl with a complaint. Miya already expected that as she opened the passenger seat for the guy. But then as he was about to get in, the other one stopped him.
"You've been wearing that since last night," Miya said, pointing at the guy's clothes.
"Uhm... So?"
"So?" Miya repeated, mimicking the guy's voice.
"I'm not gonna let you in with your dirty clothes! Go get your car instead."
"What? Hey, I don't stink... do I?" Steven said as he smelled himself but the younger didn't reply.
"And we're literally just eating a few blocks from here, we don't need two cars. You know, save Earth, duh." He pointed out but the girl was already decided.
"Then walk, I'm not gonna let you sit in my car with those clothes. What the hell is that? Is that chocolate stain?" Miya said pointing at the stain on Steven's hoodie though it's not really that obvious.
"I'm not walking! It's freezing cold out here! How about we just walk together then?"
"Dude, I'm not walking—"
"Come on, get those legs at work. You can park your car inside." he insisted.
Miya rolled her eyes in defeat and the guy. She did park her car inside but while doing it, she was grumbling under her breath and the guy could only just watch him suffer.
"This is unbelievable. I went here as promised of a brunch and now I'm walking?" Good thing she has her jacket with her or else she'll have to either let the guy in the car or walk and wish she won't be a huge block of ice when they arrive at the place which is obviously not gonna happen.
