Five best friends-Samuel, Clinton, Harrison, Daniel, and David-were heirs to powerful companies and all attended the same school. Tall, handsome, and influential, many things could go wrong...
"He raped her!" Vivian cried out, frantic.
"It's not that serious," Samuel's friend Harry said with a shrug, clearly irritated by her outburst. "Five million to testify he didn't."
"I saw him rip off her clothes and do it!"
Vivian couldn't believe Harry was trying to make her cover up something she knew to be true.
Harry shifted in his seat, frowning. Vivian noticed how rarely he smiled. "Deal or no deal?" he asked, his tone cold.
Vivian knew how much the money could help her family--paying off her school fees and her father's debts-but she also knew that if she refused, Samuel would never face justice. The boys had too much power. Her mind kept going back to her friend lying in the hospital bed. She looked at the boy she admired.
"Deal," Vivian said, her stomach twisting.
She had just betrayed a friend.
"Good," Harrison said, his voice smooth.
"You get 50 percent after you meet with our lawyer. The other 50 percent after you testify against your friend." Harrison stood up and walked out. Vivian stayed where she was, staring at the door even after he was gone. She liked him, but he was cruel.
