The word "unicorn" comes from the Latin word meaning one horn, so did you know that not every unicorn with one horn is a horse? It can be a donkey, an antelope, a deer, a goat, or even a rhinoceros? So some have existed in the past, some still exist today, and some will only exist in our heads. A dark pall has taken over the land of the Equinicorns-the horse-like ones. The land is fruitless; the flowers have not bloomed, smiles have almost disappeared from every herd, and worst of all-nobody cares for each other. Since the Great War, the land has been split into four sections, and the horses without horns have abandoned the horses with them, and no one can meet one who is not like them. When Charity, a crippled alicorn princess struck with bitterness, receives a mysterious note from her grandfather, she embarks on a quest to find several qualities to heal their land. Along the way, she meets a lot of new friends, including a happy, lively Persian Onager unicorn, a shy but courageous hybrid of a zebra and a unicorn, a temperamental two-horned Abada (okay, not a unicorn, but some Abadas can have one horn, so that counts?), and a tiny but strong goat!
