In the magical realm of Wonderland, Ruby and Red, the rebellious fraternal twins of the Queen of Hearts, grow increasingly fed up their mother's tyrannical rule and are desperately wanting to leave so when Uma, the former pirate turned principal of Auradon Prep, extends an invitation to them, the twins seize the opportunity to escape their oppressive life.

Upon arriving at Auradon Prep, Ruby and Red are welcomed with open arms, but their hopes for a fresh start are shattered when the Queen of Hearts stages a dramatic coup during the welcome party, throwing the school into chaos. Amidst the turmoil, Ruby and Red use the watch that Maddox hatter made into a time machine to stop the coup
