Since she was born, Adelaide had to go through many hardship as she was being prepared to be the mother of a nation. Adelaide thought that once she became the empress of Tempest, she would finally become a free woman.

But instead of freedom, Adelaide had to deal with more political affairs while her supposedly husband and emperor indulge himself in adultery and extramarital affairs. Adelaide's life changes when she met Astoria Aspen at a banquet thr emperor hosted to welcome his concubines.

Astoria Aspen came to the capital with a mission in mind to save the Northern Territory. But as she went to see the empress and request for her help, the empress took advantage of the situation and asked the young countess to be her lover.
