Sapphire Light isn't looking for a relationship or anything near that. Her heart is closed and not open for anyone. Until, her best friend, Gale Beauman, forces Sapphire to come to her seventeenth birthday party, also in the process, inviting the whole school. Gale has had enough of Sapphire being so lonely, she invited the whole school with the intent for Sapphire to meet a special someone.

"Well... I certainly didn't expect him to break her shell." Gale said.

Hayden shrugged, "They seem to fit well."

"But if he breaks her heart... I suggest for him to get out of the country within twelve hours."
