Alyssa Whitestone has survived the 73rd Hunger Games and the cruel and haunting Third Quarter Quell, the latter which she has been rescued from by Plutarch Heavensbee and Haymitch Abernathy. Katniss, Finnick, and Beetee have also been rescued. Unfortunately Noah, Peeta, Johanna, and Finnick's one true love Annie Cresta have been taken hostage by President Snow.

Now deep in the underground District Thirteen, long believed by almost everyone in Panem to have been destroyed, Alyssa has made the decision to fight alongside the Mockingjay.
