I run my hands through my hair again. I lost count of how many times I've done that.
I hear a knock on my door and groan in protest but get from the couch to open it. I'm really not in the mood for company.
When I do open it I regret it.
"Hey," Tris says with a look of guilt.
I shake my head. "What are you doing here? We broke up." Her cheating on me was the worst moment of my life. And her saying those things to me was the second worst.
"I know, I just wanted to say sorry. And for the millionth time, I didn't mean for that to happen. And I...didn't mean to say that. I'm not the type of girl who does those things."
I look away. "I know, Tris but..."
"I'm sorry," she says again. Even when we fight I can't stop from loving her.
"I'm fine, there'll be somebody else." She's looking right in my eyes and she knows I'm lying. I won't be fine.
"Tobias..." My eyes flick down to her lips but go back to her blue-grey eyes. After all this time I can't stop from loving her.
I lean and press my lips to hers, cupping her cheeks with my hands. He hands go to my waist and she kisses me back.
This is repeating days.
