**Ashes Of POVERTY* _By:Brix-Monje.Lyn_ We were not born with empty stomachs. We were not born in houses with holes. We were not born owing 15,000 shillings. Poverty found us. And it stayed. This is the story of B. 17 years old. A daughter. A sister. A house girl. A debt. From the shamba with two graves, to the room under the stairs in Nairobi, to a hospital floor with 40 shillings in her pocket - this is what it feels like to live when dust is in your lungs. There is no rescue here. There is no fairy tale. There is only truth: Poverty is not lack of money. Poverty is a disease. It has a title. It demands respect. And it kills quietly, one mucker at a time. _Ashes Of Poverty_ is not a story about being poor. It is a testimony from inside it. Raw. Unforgiving. Necessary. *Read this if you want to understand why some people don't get up.* --- It is written in ash, in debt, and in memory of those who died waiting for "next month." *_"If my words make you uncomfortable, good. That means the dust reached you too."__ By:Brix-Monje.Lyn_ ---

**Uncle Dud** *A Story by Brix-Monje.Lyn* *Uncle Dud* is the story of **Amina Hassan** - a girl who was told she was "released." Released from Maighty Girls for failing 3 times. Released by a father who couldn't say "I'm proud." Released by a system that thought D- was all she'd ever be. But Amina refused to be released from herself. With Ksh 500 from a man who wasn't her blood, **Baba Juma**, With a teacher who saw more than grades, **Mrs. Wanjiku**, With a mother who saved Ksh 4,400 coin by coin, And with 4am torchlight and stubborn hope Amina fights her way from D- to **B Plain**. It's not a story about being the smartest. It's about waking up at 3am when no one believes in you. About choosing peace over permission. About turning shame into blueprints. About building a house when everyone said you'd never even finish school. From "Night Runner" to "Candidate 2028/47/1845" From a dorm with 60 girls to a room called **"Dreams"** From "you're not my daughter" to "Architect" *Uncle Dud* is 20 chapters of pain, prayer, past papers, and becoming. It's about the people who choose you when your own don't. And about the girl who chose to keep going. **Theme**: You don't need to be born with money. You just need one B. One person. One room to start building in. **Ending**: She builds the house. And in it, she makes a room with yellow walls and a drawing board. She names it **"Dreams"** - so no girl who comes after her will ever feel "released" again.

Some are born original. Some are forced to become. Esha was a woman who saw through the world as a guest, possessing it was never a question-hope of belonging, giving more than taking-remaining invisible fit like a glove instead. A man like Antares, waltzed into her life, promising the universe in exchange for her trust. The world she stood on tilted, the heart murmured fears, the body recoiled in memory of hands unbidden, the mind curled into itself hoping to have dreamt it away, while the soul recognized a kindred spirit. Yet when two wounded strangers recognize themselves in each other, the personas they built to survive begin to fracture. How to trust a woman whose scars marred the body like ink? How to trust a man whose skin bleeds from his very sins? What to make of kithship so visceral-it possesses the body in stupor? Who were they when no one was watching? A story of identity. Complexity. And the selves we keep becoming. Reader discretion is advised. Updates every Wednesday, 12:00 AM EDT.

"From all that was heard, you have no choice but to leave Heaven... As a punishment of all your wrong doings, you are to serve a sentence on earth in a chaotic country called Kenya where Al-Shabab attacks are frequent and the citizens are always scared due to political tension." Those words made Mina's whole world crumble, "how can an angel live among humans? How will I survive? I have always hated earth, never visited and know nothing about it, I even considered humans savages." as thoughts circled around Mina's head, she fainted and woke up in a foreign land........ My story is copy righted... Do anything to it and I shall come for u like an angel of death to take u to the Hell.

Born in the quiet town of Taveta and raised between village paths and city streets, *she* has always lived between worlds-between being seen and being overlooked, between brilliance and insecurity, between silence and self-discovery. In this deeply personal and honest coming-of-age story, we follow a young woman's journey from a shy second-born girl with "second-born syndrome" to a university student navigating faith, friendship, betrayal, love, and heartbreak. From battling acne and self-doubt to tasting the thrill of independence, first kisses, and the sting of betrayal, she learns that life isn't about having all the answers-but about learning to rise after each fall. Told with raw emotion, quiet humor, and powerful introspection, this novel is a portrait of growing up Kenyan, of finding your voice in a world that often tells girls to stay quiet, and of discovering that sometimes, the most important relationship you'll ever have is with yourself.
