Twenty-five year old, Jake, had everything he could ever want. A wife and soon to be daughter, he was even deployed to the military. He had connection with his wife, and got news on he's healthy unborn daughter till the day it happened. He lost connection to his wife and went into battle, he witnessed things men shouldn't witness. He saw his fellow comrades shot and slowly die on the field, in agonising pain.
He's wife, who was really worried about him, soon went into labor. The daughter was born healthy and fine, not knowing her father. Growing up she learned not to talk to strangers.
Five years later the father comes home from the unknown. He greets the family with open arms. But one doesn't open her arms. The daughter knows he's her father, but he's a stranger. She doesn't know when to accept that it's her father. When she does will it be too late?
This story is about the bond between a father and a daughter formed by helping what was broken between them. With war memories still fresh, the funerals of his comrades coming soon. Even his arm was lost the war, he heals with help of his daughter. A missing father figure in the daughters life. The void was filled by Jake.
