Hello everyone.  My name is Donovon Davis.  Funny thing, I discovered this site thanks to me being a fan of The Magicians (I've yet to read the novels, but plan to after watching the show) and there is a current contest involving one of many Beast battles.  I consider myself an aspiring writer and been going to school to improve.  I've had the writing bug before I even knew I did.  It came out when I use to be part of the rp scene on Myspace.  Over time I realized what it was I wanted to create and that is a series I call The Invisible World, based on "Wonders of The Invisible World" by Cotton Mather as well as the works of Nathaniel Hawthorne, Edgar Allen Poe, and of course, my own thing and personal experiences.  Another part of my influence is from anime and the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.  

The ideal is to create a supernatural world where the hero is a ghost, where threats are very real, but invisible to our eyes, people able to breach the boundaries that limit humans, Gods, evil spirits, stories we thought were fiction being reality, love, and even redemption.  I took Creative Writing courses and Scriptwriting (hey I am looking beyond as well and hope if I can pull this off, this can also become a movie or TV series), so in those I wrote short stories to work as concepts, just to get a clearer picture of what I have in mind.  

I uploaded said stories on deviantart, which I will link that page here.  There you can see my writings and even my journal where I provide a pitch of what I'm planning.  I will soon begin uploading those writings here, even the ones I think are bad.  I'll start writing new stories too.  I'll provide my own content as well as some fan fiction.  I am forever looking to improve and welcome advice and criticism.  Otherwise, I hope you enjoy my stuff.
