The day that writing found me, I stared up into my bosses eyes and said 'but I don't know how to write classified ads! I've never written anything before!!' He said 'Figure it out! We need help and I'm too busy!' I almost cried right there.
I researched our competition, saw how awesomely boring their ads were, and I went on a campaign to make fun of them mercilessly. We got flooded with job seekers from all over the world and more than my boss and I knew what to do with.
We've had no shortage of staff since that day two years ago and I continue to make fun of our competition with classified ads. It's become something of a cult following for our little specialty trade.
This is how I discovered my love for writing and that writing a silly ad every month does not quell the hunger for more.
We shall see where this new endeavor leads...
