Hi, I'm Jackie, author of HALF MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS ARE FERRETS, MY SMOKY BACON CRISP OBSESSION, THE WORST FRIEND EVER and GEEKY AND THE GHOSTS. My main loves in life are animals, music, movies (Pan's Labyrinth, Little Miss Sunshine, anything with Johnny Depp in!); and reading.

I have a degree in Zoology and work as a webmaster for a drugs charity in London. In my spare time I help out at animal charities, play guitar, and take my dog (a furry Finnish Lapphund) for long walks in the countryside. I also work as a befriender for a UK eating disorders association and a pet bereavement supporter.

My kids give me LOTS & LOTS of material for my writing so much of what's in my books is based on the real-life ups and downs of being a teenager :-)
