Jenna broke away from the kiss slowly and smiled up at Alec, her almost-lilac colored eyes sparkling happily. Alec, on the otherhand, leaned back slowly- his arms still wrapped tightly in a lovers' embrace around her waist-and opened his eyes ever so slowly, as if he wanted the moment to never end.
He leaned his forehead against hers, thinking that he didn't know how people could say that if they died at that moment, they would be perfectly happy. If he died at that moment, he would be royally pissed. He had been waiting ages for that moment, and there was no way in hell he was going to die without a fight. Alec smiled at Jenna again, really not believing his luck.
"That was way better than I had ever hoped for," he murmured quietly, not wanting to break the moment.
"You've imagined it?" Jenna asked just as quietly. At his soft 'mhm' she kissed him lightly on the mouth again. "Good, Im glad I'm not the only one." That got a short bark of laughter out of him, and soon the two were in a fit of exuberant (and relieved) giggles, partly caused by the recession of the adrenaline that had courses through their veins not moments before. It was terrifying admitting your love to a person, and not knowing how they felt about you.
A shiver ran over Jenna's exposed skin, goosebumps rising as she finally notices the below-freezing temperatures. Alec looked concerned at her, and since he didn't have a coat to wrap around her shoulders, he did the next best thing and led her back into the overly warm Great Hall, her hand enveloped in his.
They had just re-entered the Hall and were weaving through to find their friends when they ran into Draco and Kaalee, obviously interrupting a sentimental moment. Jenna looked abashed and apologetic and Alec looked sorry but extremely delighted.
"Sorry, mates," he laughed.
