I am a lifelong student of literature, begining my journey at The University of Georgia with a degree in English. For the next six years, 2000 - 2006, I facilitated the Alpharetta Writers Workshop in North Atlanta.
During my time in Atlanta, I worked on a historical novel "Yellow Hammers" - the story of a Confederate private and his war experience. Not long after starting my novel writing quest, I realized that I didn't know the first thing about soldiering in the Civil War era, so I took up the hobby of reenacting. The tactics, orders, and manual of arms drills portrayed in the novel were all gleaned from my research as a Civil War reenactor and living historian.
While facilitating the writing workshop, I also worked on another degree to begin teaching at the high school level, all thanks to the inspiring members of the Alpharetta Writers Workshop who helped me find my path in life. Since 2006 while living near Savannah, GA, I have been teaching Advanced Placement and British Literature, which has done wonders for my own personal study of the novel as an art form and of writing in general. Imagine reading "Hamlet" five times a year for seven straight years and you get the idea. Not to mention all the essays I've graded.
One of my favorite pastimes is daydreaming of zombie outbreaks, and what I would do to survive, so apocalyptic stories of the zombie plague are a guilty pleasure.
Currently, I am working on a novel of extraordinary science called "The Plot" which contains many pseudoscience theories proposed by Graham Hancock and David Wilcock on top of studies of illusions and alternate realities of quantum physics.
